Rowan Lister cutting of 30+ cm

Story

I participated in Cut for a Cause in 2020 during Lockdown, raised close to three hundred dollars and gave the profits to the ASRC. Now, close to three years later I am in year 12, and my hair has grown out to a suitable length again, and because of this, I will be cutting it off again this year, thirty whole centimetres, leaving me with almost no hair yet again.

Our hair will be donated to the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation, where if long enough will be converted into wigs that can be used by people that have been affected by Alopecia or other conditions that causes major hair loss.

The donations will be donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Center (ASRC) which is an organization that helps many asylum seekers settle in Australia. They are entirely a non-profit organization and solely run on donations such as Kilvington Cut for a Cause.

I'm taking up a challenge for ASRC and would welcome any contribution you could make, big or small! Please help me in my efforts by donating through this page.

ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.

As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.

We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
